Been pretty quiet up here. Can hear a lot of birds and crickets. The other night, about 1am, I heard some horrible noise. I thought an animal must be killing something out my bedroom window. I wanted to get up to look, but it was so dark, I couldn't see anything. I laid there, listening for a long time. The screeching would stop for a minute and then start again. I finally raised up on my side to wake Steve up, who slept through the whole ordeal. Only I found out it was him snoring. This was a whole new snore I haven't encountered before. Just glad there was no dead animal outside this morning.
Until they bring up paint and gas, we don't have a whole lot to do. We did go over and clear a couple cabin areas of fallen branches and debris. At this rate, we should have everything cleared up by Tuesday. It is such a beautiful area to just sit and enjoy. I have found most of my dad's nieces and nephews and put them on FamilySearch. That is good. I went for a bike ride tonight, but Steve's bike has a flat tire that needs patched. We will make it to town one day. Life is good!
